JOELLA’S HOT CHICKEN’S LEXINGTON LOCATION TO OPEN JANUARY 28th

First 100 People in Line Win Free Hot Chicken for a Year

LEXINGTON, January 11, 2016 — Joella’s Hot Chicken will open at 101 Cochran Road in Chevy Chase on January 28th , giving away more than $60,000 in free chicken meals to the first 100 adults in line.

A one-year supply of free Joella’s Hot Chicken (52 coupons) will be awarded to each of the first 100 adults, age 18 years and older with identification. The line can begin forming up to 24 hours prior to the restaurant’s opening, with prizes being given away on January 28th between 8 a.m. and 8:30 am. Guests waiting in line will be treated to complimentary hot chicken samples and free Joella’s apparel items.

“Our team is thrilled about bringing our hot chicken concept to the Lexington market, a move that will allow Joella’s to become a new favorite staple in the Lexington community as we continue to grow throughout the region,” said Tony Palombino, founder/CEO of Louisville-based EAP Restaurant Concepts. “In addition to giving away free hot chicken for a year to the first 100 adults in line, we’re eager to share what makes Joella’s distinctive as we introduce our famous hot chicken to new guests.”

Joella’s Hot Chicken, the newest restaurant addition to Palombino’s portfolio, places its own spin on Nashville’s classic hot chicken, taking traditional Southern fried chicken and giving it “spirit” by adding various spice blends. Using 100 percent, all-natural chicken, Joella’s Hot Chicken varieties are offered in six spice levels: Traditional Southern, Spiked Honey, Ella’s Fav, Tweener, Hot and “Fire in da Hole,” while also offering customers freshly made-from-scratch sides such as creamy mac & cheese, sweet-vinegar slaw, garlic fries, kale crunch salad and a southern favorite, black-eyed pea salad. Guests will also have access to another craft staple, Boylan Soda, as all Joella’s restaurants will include fountain Boylan soda machines.

Joella’s Lexington restaurant, the former location of iconic Billy’s Bar-B-Q, will offer features to make customers’ experiences more personalized, as tables will be equipped with self-serve craft beer technology to allow users to scan their IDs, open a digital tab and pour their own draft beer. Customers can pay by the ounce, which allows them to taste small samples or go for a full pour without having to wait for a server.
