Joella’s Hot Chicken will be opening its second Louisville location next month.

“The restaurant will fill the space that was previously occupied by BoomBozz Craft Pizza and Taphouse at 13401 Shelbyville Road, Suite 101, according to a news release.

The BoomBozz store closed May 1 so the space could be converted, and Joella’s is set to open June 1.

Tony Palombino, the founder and CEO of Louisville-based EAP Restaurant Concepts, is behind both BoomBozz and Joella’s, and he said the decision to close BoomBozz Middletown was difficult. He added that the restaurant’s employees have been offered positions at the chain’s five other Louisville locations.”
